The Wiewels decided to get their portraits done early this year.  They scheduled a private family portrait session for the first week of November, when the beach temperatures were still warm (80 degrees!).  They decided on the Island of Coronado for their session, which has a diverse landscape that represents San Diego so well.  We started the session at Ferry Landing, which has a fantastic skyline.  We then hurried over to the beach dunes by the Hotel Del Coronado to finish up for sunset beach pictures.  I love their whole session and wanted to showcase a montage of my favorite images.

I love when I am able to reconnect with people through photography.  Julie and I were coworkers a few years ago.  In fact, she was pregnant with her little girl at the same time that I was pregnant with mine.  She offered me invaluable mommy tips and support during that time.  I am glad I was able to capture images of her young family and hopefully this will become a yearly event!
