There is something romantic about film photography.  The images are softer, and even if they are a little out of focus they are still beautiful because they are reminiscent of a painting.  The film portrays the light in an artistic way, melding the shadows and the sunlit areas so perfectly.  Ah, this family on film makes my heart happy!

I met the Hansons exactly one year ago in March 2015 for an Easter session.  Since then, I have had the honor of photographing their daughter’s newborn session.  Their youngest is 4 months now and their eldest is 3 1/2 years old.  What a journey this past year has been!  If you met them, you would fall in love with them too, because I swear they are the sweetest nicest family ever!  And the Ramona, CA countryside is the perfect backdrop for this spring session, right?!  I hope you fall in love with film after you see these, because I am obsessed with it and want to shoot a lot more in the near future!
