Turning one is a time for great celebration! Baby H celebrated with a pink and gold cake smash. The Rogers family visited me in my studio in Ramona for the session and I set up three different looks. Baby H was a little shy that day, but her sweetness shines through.
The set up included 1) a vintage high chair against a wood drop with gold fabric draped over it and balloons behind the chair, 2) a bone colored seamless paper with pink and gold pinwheels and a hand-made banner, and 3) pink seamless paper with tulle and chiffon draped like a stage and puffs in the background. Baby H coordinated with a cute outfit that read, “Wild One”, and her mom bought the coordinating balloons and a cake from my favorite smash cake baker Creative Confections by Stephanie.
At any session, I always love to include family pictures for immediate family members in the session fee. I think it is so important that we as parents exist in photos as well. I’m glad the Rogers family took me up on that offer, I think their family pictures turned out so cute! I hope you love these pictures as much as I do!
Fun Tip: Sometimes one year old babies are a little afraid of the camera because it is the first time they have seen one, so I play peek-a-boo with them and usually have the parents behind me. So, be ready for some cardio during your cake smash session
