Family Portraits on film – The Collins Family {San Diego Photographer}

There are times in this life when you meet people that make a difference in your life.  I met Ashley back when I was playing on an all women’s pool league in San Diego.  She was my teammate and at the time she was attending college to become a nurse.  She always talked about her two little girls and I could tell she was a proud and hard working momma!

Fast forward, and we remained friends on Facebook.  I kept reading her motivational posts about a program that she was a part of called 21 day fix, which is a balanced meal plan plus exercise.  She was getting fantastic results and I was very impressed with her determination and positive attitude.  She is making a difference for her daughters, and because she is a nurturing soul she is helping others find the program.  She motivated me to want to make a change, so she is now my coach for 21 day fix and I am grateful for her support.  She is making a difference in my life as well, and I can’t thank her enough!

I was so excited when she agreed to come to my Mother’s Day photo shoot to celebrate her beauty and the love between her family.  And I absolutely love how their images turned out.  These mother daughter images were shot at The Bernardo Winery hybrid digital/film with Portra 400 on my Contax 645 and also my Nikon D810.  I hope they cherish them forever!

I found this qoute, and I think it is so fitting for Ashley and her girls, so I will leave you with this:

Walk along side me, Mama and hold my little hand. I have so many things to learn that I don’t yet understand. Every child needs a gentle hand to guide them as they grow. So walk alongside me, Mama. We have a long way to go. – Unknown
